Waterford Union High School Scene shop is located in room 169-- down the drama hallway and next to the drama classroom. The scene shop is currently equipped with a variety of tools and equipment that is used to build all of our sets. General safety rules: - Dress appropriately- no shorts or crop tops - Closed toed shoes only! NO flip flops allowed - If you do not know how to use the equipment-- DON'T!!!! - All paint brushes and paint containers need to be thoroughly washed after each use. This means the water runs clear! - Tools and equipment need to be put away at the end of each use, or the end of the scene shop time NEVER use any tool unless you have been taught how to safely operate it. ALWAYS use eye protection. REMOVE or FASTEN any loose or dangly jewelry and clothing. LONG HAIR must be tied back or covered up. NO HORSEPLAY. DO NOT distract, startle, or talk to anyone using a power tool. ONLY use a tool in the manner it was designed. (Wrenches are NOT hammers!) NEVER walk away from a tool that is still turned on. ALWAYS use all of a tool’s safety guards and guides. NEVER attempt to use a tool that is broken. NOTIFY Ms. B when you find a broken tool. ALWAYS clean up your workspace before moving on to a new project. CLEAN UP all spills immediately. KNOW the locations of ALL First Aid, Fire, and Safety Equipment.
